Mission

Statement

Our mission is to provide the healing & learning benefits of equine-assisted & alternative therapies to military, First Responders & their families.

Established in 2014, Horses & Heroes, Inc. offers trauma-recovery with the use of Equine Assisted Therapy.

We specialize in trauma that has affected the brain, body, emotions, and behaviors including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for our Nation's Veterans, Active Military, First Responders, their spouses, and children at no cost.

Childhood trauma affects a large percentage of the population and is linked to adult-onset of chronic disease, as well as depression, suicide, violence and becoming a victim of violence.

H&H uses licensed practitioners, certified coaches, and qualified staff to offer emotional, physical, and spiritual growth to our target demographic.

Life is HARD.
Equine therapy is easy.

I can identify with the different horse personalities and sometimes watch my life unfold through them.

Our therapy horses and mini's have either been rescued or donated to H&H. They all have their own stories. Some have been starved, neglected, injured, and unable to work, but all have overcome great odds to be where they are today. We are very fortunate to have them be part of our team!
